An inquiry into Pilibhit's voter list found 10,470 correction requests approved between May 31 and August 29, 2026 with no forms on record; an FIR names two officers and an assistant.

The Election Commission has capped Form 7 voter-deletion requests at 10 per elector for a roll revision and five a month otherwise, in a letter dated October 9, 2026.
