Idbi Bank Sale

The Centre says the reserve price in the IDBI Bank sale to Fairfax was never changed, while Congress and ex-secretary E.A.S. Sarma sought a review in statements up to 31 October 2026.

The Cabinet on October 14, 2026 approved selling 60.72% of IDBI Bank to a Fairfax Financial unit for Rs 52,878 crore at Rs 81 a share.
