Wheat Sowing

Wheat was sown on about 11,000 hectares by October 23, 2026, against 27,000 a year ago; total rabi area fell to 18.02 lakh hectares, ministry data shows.

Himachal Pradesh has fixed subsidised wheat seed at Rs 33 a kg for rabi 2026, Rs 3 more than last year, ending a delay that held up distribution to farmers.
