UPSSSC Inter Level recruitment 2026: 1,784 Class 12 level jobs, apply from Nov 10

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced an Inter Level recruitment drive for 1,784 government posts open to candidates who have passed Class 12, in a notification released on Friday, October 16, 2026. Online applications will open on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, and close on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, on the commission's website, upsssc.gov.in. Only candidates who appeared in the commission's Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and hold a valid PET scorecard can apply. The vacancies are spread across 12 departments, and the single largest group is 525 posts of Gram Vikas Adhikari (village development officer).

For young people in Uttar Pradesh, government jobs remain among the most sought-after careers, and posts that need only a Class 12 pass are especially valuable because they are open to a very large pool of candidates, including those who could not continue to college. A single notification of nearly 1,800 posts is a meaningful opening for school-leavers and for graduates who are also eligible to apply for posts that set a lower minimum qualification.

The two biggest groups of posts sit at the heart of village administration. Gram Vikas Adhikari and Gram Panchayat Adhikari are the officials through whom many rural development and panchayat schemes reach villages. The PET rule is the key detail for applicants. UPSSSC uses its Preliminary Eligibility Test as a first filter for many Group C jobs: candidates first sit PET, and their PET score then decides who may apply for and be shortlisted in individual recruitment drives such as this one. Anyone who did not appear in PET 2025 cannot apply this time, however well qualified otherwise. Those who did should keep their scorecard and registration details ready before the window opens.

Short-term: PET 2025 candidates have about three weeks between the notification and the opening of applications to check eligibility for each post, gather documents and prepare. The window then stays open for three weeks, until December 1. Long-term: Recruitment at this scale feeds the staffing of rural administration in India's most populous state. How fast the commission completes the main exam and results will decide when these posts are actually filled; the exam date has not been announced yet.
