Karbonn's comeback phones, the Rebel at Rs 11,999 and Rebel Pro at Rs 12,499, go on sale on Amazon India on 4 November 2026; both are 4G-only, reports say.
What Happened
Indian phone brand Karbonn has returned to the market with two budget smartphones, the Karbonn Rebel and Rebel Pro. The phones were announced on Monday, 2 November 2026, and go on sale exclusively on Amazon India from 12 noon on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, according to launch reports. The Rebel costs Rs 11,999 and the Rebel Pro Rs 12,499, with a Rs 1,000 bank discount on both. Reports describe both as 4G-only phones; Karbonn has said a Rebel 5G is coming but has not given its price, specifications or date.
Key Facts
- Models: Karbonn Rebel and Karbonn Rebel Pro.
- Prices: Rebel Rs 11,999; Rebel Pro Rs 12,499; a Rs 1,000 bank discount brings them to about Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,499.
- Sale: exclusively on Amazon India from 12 noon on Wednesday, 4 November 2026.
- Rebel Pro: MediaTek Helio G81 chip, 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, Android 16, 6.7-inch HD+ screen at 120Hz, according to launch reports.
- Battery: the Rebel Pro has a 6,000 mAh battery with 20W charging, and the series offers up to 7,000 mAh, according to reports.
- Cameras: a 64-megapixel main camera and a 16-megapixel front camera on the Rebel Pro, per reports; descriptions of the rear setup differ.

- Network: reports say both phones support 4G only; a Rebel 5G has been announced without details.
Why It Matters
Karbonn's return tests whether a familiar Indian brand can win back buyers in the price band where most first-time smartphone users shop.
The specifications are aimed at practical buyers. A large battery, a big 120Hz screen and 128 GB of storage are what many users in this range look for, and a promise of two years of Android upgrades is a useful commitment at this price. For students, older users or people buying a second phone for calls and apps, these are sensible priorities.
The biggest question is network support. Reports describe both phones as 4G-only, at a time when most new phones near this price offer 5G. Users who plan to keep a phone for several years may weigh that carefully, since 5G networks are expanding. Some product listings use a "5G" label for the Rebel Pro, which adds to the confusion; buyers should check the network bands on the Amazon listing before ordering.
The launch is also online-only for now: the phones are sold exclusively on Amazon India at launch, so buyers who prefer a shop will have to wait for any offline availability Karbonn may announce.
Peepals calculation: The Rs 1,000 bank discount cuts the price by about 8.3 per cent on the Rebel (1,000 divided by 11,999) and about 8.0 per cent on the Rebel Pro (1,000 divided by 12,499), and the Pro costs Rs 500 more than the Rebel before offers (12,499 minus 11,999). Our calculation from the reported prices.
| Model | Price | Price after bank offer |
|---|---|---|
| Karbonn Rebel | Rs 11,999 | about Rs 10,999 |
| Karbonn Rebel Pro | Rs 12,499 | about Rs 11,499 |
Impact
Short-term: Budget buyers get two more options under Rs 12,500 from an Indian brand, sold through Amazon from 4 November 2026.
Long-term: How these phones sell, and whether the Rebel 5G follows soon, will show whether Karbonn's comeback can last in a market dominated by bigger brands.
Who is affected: Budget smartphone buyers, first-time smartphone users, Amazon India, and rival brands in the Rs 10,000 to Rs 13,000 range.
What to watch next: Karbonn's announcement of the price, specifications and date of the Rebel 5G.
Key Takeaway
Karbonn is back with the Rebel at Rs 11,999 and Rebel Pro at Rs 12,499, on sale on Amazon India from 4 November 2026, but reports say both lack 5G.
