IBPS recruitment 2026: Mumbai jobs for IT graduates, apply by November 12

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), the body that conducts recruitment exams for public sector banks, has opened applications for jobs in its own organisation. Under Advertisement No. IBPS/2026-27/06, candidates can apply online at ibps.in from Thursday, October 29, 2026, to Thursday, November 12, 2026, for three kinds of posts: Server Administrator (Grade D), Assistant (Grade B) and Programming Assistant (Grade B). The jobs are based in Mumbai, and the advertisement does not state the number of vacancies.

Most young people know IBPS as the body that runs bank exams such as IBPS PO and IBPS Clerk. This notice is different: it is for staff to work inside IBPS itself, which manages large online exams, servers and data for lakhs of candidates. That makes these roles a chance for IT graduates and people with office and data skills to work in the exam and assessment system rather than in a bank branch.

The three posts suit different profiles. Server Administrator is a senior technical role. Programming Assistant is meant for graduates such as B.Sc (IT or Computer Science), BCA, or B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or IT, with some work experience after qualifying. Assistant is a general office role; one report lists a bachelor's degree with 60% marks, advanced Microsoft Excel skills and two years of experience in data validation, MIS (management information systems) reports or clerical work.

Age limits differ between reports. For Server Administrator, reports give a range of 25 to 33 years; for Assistant and Programming Assistant, 23 to 30 years. The cut-off date used for calculating age also differs between reports, so applicants should check the exact rule in the official notice.

These are not mass-recruitment posts. The number of vacancies is not given and the jobs are in one city, so applicants should read the notice closely before applying. Candidates outside Mumbai should note that no housing is provided and that Mumbai residents get preference, according to reports.
