OpenAI brings GPT-6 to all ChatGPT users, including free and Go plans

OpenAI has made its GPT-6 generation of models available across all ChatGPT plans. The rollout began on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, for paying subscribers on the Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise tiers, and was extended to users on the free plan and the lower-priced Go plan on Thursday, October 8. Alongside the new models, OpenAI introduced a feature it calls "Intelligent UI", which lets ChatGPT build small interactive elements, such as calculators, bill splitters, comparison tables and diagrams, directly inside its answers. For Enterprise customers, access depends on settings chosen by their workplace administrators.

For most people, a new model only matters if they can use it. By extending GPT-6 to free and Go users within a day of the paid launch, OpenAI has put its newest generation in front of its largest groups of users at once, rather than keeping it behind the most expensive plans for weeks.
